Valentines day wedding!
Laurie and Chad Becker got hitched on Valentines day! Hooowwww Romantic!
The Beautiful ceremony was help at Mulberry Art Studio In Lancaster PA. I never photographed a wedding there before and let me just tell you..it was STUNNING. The room was so romantic and classy, yet also very modern and full of art.
During the Reception it started snowing outside so I (Lauren) took them out in the street to do some romantic pictures in the snow on valentines day (is this started to sound fake to you because it is for me! haha but it really happened, I promise!) The street lights created a warm backdrop to the photo. I was pretty excited about it.
So here are some photos. Enjoy!

Canaan Rohrer

Here are a few new pictures I've taken this week...

This is Canaan's second session with Elle Photography. We did a newborn session in August and  we just did his 6 month pictures. Jenna, Travis, and I  had the best time! Jenna (Canaan's mother) and Travis (his father) were behind me the whole time making the silliest noises and faces to make their son laugh. They both did and awesome job too. Someone should have been taking photos of us three making silly faces. When we do the 1 year session Im thinking about bringing a second photographer along just to document the behind the scenes. I think it could be a funny video/photo session.
Well Here are the images! Enjoy!

Camryn Rose

This week started off a lot better than last week for sure!
First, I woke up and didnt have a fever!
Second, I woke up and prepared for the afternoon photoshoot with my good friend Jill.
I love starting off the week with a photoshoot.

Anyway! Jill (martin) Waltman just gave birth to her second child, Camryn Rose about 2 weeks ago. She is such a precious little one, her little nose looks just like her mommies! Jill decided to do a photoshoot as soon as Camryn's umbilical cord came off. We wanted to make sure we documented her tiny size. Babies grow up so fast and before you know it they're walking around squealing. (Jarrett, Jills first born, was squealing a ton while we were photographing his little sister!)  He's an adorable 16 month old! anyway.....
Here are a few pictures of the session!

Imaging USA

January 7th-14th
Elle Photography attended Imaging USA this year in Phoenix, AZ. This is my (Lauren) third time attending Imaging and I always leave inspired and excited about photography. For those of you who don't know what Imaging USA is, its a photography convention where the top photographers from around the world come and give presentations, seminars, and mini lessons on photoshop, lighting, posing, marketing, and anything else relating to photography. There is also a HUGE, and I mean HUGE expo that has the latest equipment, best software, and sample albums. Needless to say Imaging USA is a photographers dreamworld!
Each day consisted of waking up at 6:00 a.m., finding the closest starbucks, and getting a seat for the 7:30 a.m. seminar. From 7:30-12:00 were classes, Lunch at noon, and then 4-6 were more classes. By the end of the week my brain was overloaded with new information! Luckily they had some nice dinner parties to help us photographers relax!

While I was out in Phoenix I decided to do some sightseeing. I flew all the way out to Arizona, I couldnt leave without seeing the Grand Canyon! My best friend Heather joined me out in AZ and we went and toured just about everything! We had three days to pack in all that we could.
day 1: Grand Canyon
    Cameron Trading post
day 2: Monument Valley
    Mexican Hat
Day 3: Antelope Canyon
     Lake Powell
     Sedona

It was a busy trip, but we saw the most beautiful sights! I cant wait to go back!

miss Lazy

Well, I must admit something. I've been very lazy with my blogging. I think this is because I forgot I had a blog! hahah.... whooops!
Since I know you all are dying to find out what I've been up to the past few months I'll catch you up to speed!
September: Full of Senior portraits!
October: 3 Weddings!!!! oh my!
( I also took a mini trip to Boston and Bar Harbor)
November: Edit Edit Edit.
December: Christmas cards for families, portraits for parents, and gifts for boyfriends. This year I noticed a lot of people were giving portraits as gifts instead of the boring old sweater.
It made me think of running a special for next year. So get excited!

That wraps of the year of 2008. Im hoping to blog separate events for 2009. :)

Love is in the air!!

While most of you were picnicing and vacationing at the beach, I was in Bloomsburg photographing a two day wedding!
I had the honor of taking pictures for Jenny and Saad Amin's Indian wedding Celebration. This wedding was by far the most colorful wedding I've ever been part of. The silk sari's were breathtaking, and the traditions were so interesting.
Friday night there was a small ceremony where family and friends exchanged gifts and formally wished the bride and groom happiness in their lives. They also took a yellow paste and put it on jenny and Saad's forehead. Apparently the yellow paste is used to give the bride and groom a healthy glow for the wedding the next day. After the yellow paste the friend or family member fed the couple something sweet.
Saturday was the ceremony where different traditions were performed and and a perfect reception took place. The food was so so so good, it was a tad spicy, but I loved it. After the food everyone joined together to dance! Everyone looked like they were having a great time. I know I did.
Here are a few pictures from the wedding!
